HURST, Texas (CBS/KTVT) A Hurst woman quit her job, abruptly removed her kids from school and disappeared on Monday, causing police, concerned for the children's safety, to issue an amber alert. The family has been found safe in Colorado, according to police.

The mother, Tyna George, and her two children, Haden and Macy, are in good health, said police.

The family was located in Colorado at about 3:30 on Thursday. Police were able to track down Tyna George since she was using her cell phone, reported CBS affiliate KTVT.

The family went missing on Wednesday. Some of the mother's family members were concerned because they said Tyna George was experiencing some kind of mental illness. They were also concerned for her 11-year-old son who takes medicine daily, and could get sick if he didn't have access to it.
