be found. Authorities believed that the pair fled the scene hours after the slaying in Kristina's 2009 silver Nissan Rogue.

After days on the run, authorities caught up with the pair on Monday night in Montana.

A Glacier County Sheriff's Office Deputy observed the couple's vehicle traveling 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. When the deputy attempted to stop the car for a routine traffic violation, a pursuit ensued, according to CBS affiliate WBBM.

The deputies finally caught up to them and took Baker, 21, and Kristina into custody.

Baker was charged with various criminal infractions, but in an effort to expedite the extradition process, all charges stemming from the crimes committed in the County of Glacier in Montana have been dismissed, says WBBM.

Based on evidence developed during the investigation, the Lake County State's Attorney's office charged Baker with three counts of first-degree murder. He will be transported to Illinois to face charges stemming from the Vernon Hills homicide that occurred April 1, says WBBM

The daughter of the victim, Kristina, is in the protective custody of Detectives from the Lake County Major Crimes Task Forces, and will be also transported back to Illinois.  Police say Kristina does not face any criminal charges right now, but is being held as a witness.
