WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Michigan man has been charged with shooting and killing his wife, while their 9-year-old daughter was home, reports CBS affiliate WWMT.

Terry Stineback, 44, was charged Wednesday afternoon for the death of Laura Stineback, 42. The victim was found dead Tuesday at the family's home. She had multiple gunshot wounds, reports the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Investigators say it appears the two were fighting just before they say he shot her.

The couple's 9-year-old daughter was in the home at the time. She is now staying with family friends, WWMT reports.
